Instrumental Music
Join up to three ensembles right at 海角社区 – the North Iowa Concert Band, the North Iowa Symphony Orchestra and 海角社区 Jazz Ensemble. The Concert Band and Symphony Orchestra are composed of 海角社区 students and community members from North Iowa, and membership in the Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble are by auditions only. Private lessons are also available.
The North Iowa Concert Band rehearses one night each week in preparation for at least one major performance each semester. This ensemble is open to all 海角社区 students and community members in the North Iowa area. School instruments are available for students not owning their own instruments.
This group concentrates on improvisation, swing interpretation, and jazz repertoire from 1930 to the present in rehearsals twice each week. Presenting one or two major concerts each year, as well as hosting the 海角社区 Jazz Festival, membership in the 海角社区 Jazz Ensemble is also by audition.
